2017 Quarterly Market Summary and Outlook

Climbing a Wall of Worries to New Highs

Synchronized global growth, which began earlier this year, carried into the third quarter. Despite the devastating effects of hurricanes Harvey and Irma, the U.S. economy remained near full employment and earnings growth was positive. Nearly every major index we follow, whether representing stocks, bonds or commodities, recorded a positive return.
